Paige's Fifth Grade Class Spent a Real Night at the Museum
**Paige is the 3rd from the left in the front row.
There are many 5th grade classes in Minnesota, but not all of them are as honored as her class. The fifth grade class at the elementary school is one of eighteen schools selected to spend a night at the Science Museum of Minnesota. One hundred schools applied for this opportunity. The students and their adult chaperones left on March 13th by way of charter bus paid for by the museum, and returned on March 14th prior to the end of the school day. Upon arriving the class was presented with a $500 check. This check was a grant to be used for technological purposes. While spending the night, the adventurers were encouraged to bring a few amenities that would make their trip more comfortable: a sleeping bag, comfortable shoes, pillow, toothbrush, toothpaste and other essentials. The campers enjoyed two meals, a pizza and breakfast buffet, also free of charge. The students navigated through a plethora of exhibits as well, such as the Dinosaur Exhibit, where they observed the fossils of a full-bodied dinosaur. The young explorers also enjoyed the musical stairs which played a musical note every time they were walked upon. Other fascinating sights included the Collections Gallery, Experiment Gallery, Human Body Gallery, Fossils Gallery, Mississippi River Gallery, Collectors’ Corner, and Science Buzz. While touring the Science Museum of Minnesota the 5th graders enjoyed the Omni Theater, where they viewed “Dinosaurs Alive.” It was a great reward after almost a full-year of hard work for these children, who enjoyed a lot of time with their friends over this two-day span. They will likely never forget their night at the museum!

What are you Going to a Baby Bath for?
Some of the things Camden says are so funny. This morning, he overheard me talking to Paige about going to Trisha's baby shower on Sunday. He says, "Mommy, what are you going to a baby bath for?". I told him that it wasn't a baby bath, it was a baby shower!

2 Leprechaun Stories
Wow...yesterday I heard 2 leprechaun stories. First, Camden told me that when his class was out of his room, a leprechaun came in and messed up their desks! He was anxious to get home and see if a leprechaun had messed up his room! When Brielle came home from daycare, she told us that a leprechaun had been at daycare and messed up a room by painting on the wall and putting toilet paper all over! She said she was glad the leprechaun didn't do it to her room! Those naughty leprechauns!

Happy 11th Birthday, Paige!

It's hard to believe that 11 years ago today after 2 1/2 months of hospitalized bedrest, Paige was born. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. She's growing up so quickly but definitely keeping us on our toes! Happy birthay, Paige! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Look at my neat handwriting!
Camden struggles with his handwriting skills but can do well when he tries hard. His teacher was so proud of his worksheet that she took a picture and emailed it to me. He looks pretty proud behind his worksheet! Good job, Camden!
