Baking Christmas Cookies

Last Sunday, we got all of our Christmas baking done.  We made a double batch of sugar cookies, and a quadruple batch of Kiss Me Cookies.  We had previously dipped pretzels and made Ritz pb chocolate treats, so we are all done making our Christmas goodies.  I had help with rolling dough into balls and rolling into sugar as you can see.  It was almost 50 degrees outside, so it took longer for my chocolate to set up on my cookies.  I needed to use my freezer to help with that. 

Camden & Brielle's Sunday School Christmas Program

Camden and Brielle sang in the Sunday School Christmas Program on Sunday.  It was very short this year, but they all did a good job!

Santa Pictures

The kids were so excited to see Santa.  Brielle asked for a "Frozen" dress, and Camden asked for a drum set and football helmet.

6th Grade Christmas Play

Paige's 6th grade class put on the play "The Christmas Carol".
She played The Ghost of Christmas Past. They all did a great job!

Noun Town

Camden's 1st grade class is learning about common and proper nouns.  With the help of a 3rd grade class, they made a "noun town".  Camden made a bowling alley with his partner, and he is very proud of his work!

Carter's Baptism

Carter John Tangen was baptized today.  Chris and I were his sponsors.  He did really good during the baptism.

Camden's Class Gets New Books

Camden's class received a grant so they got 136 new books for their class to check out and read for AR (Accelerated Reading).  Here they are all holding a new book! Camden is in the middle, back row.

Paige Starts 6th Grade Basketball

Paige started 6th grade girls basketball, which she loves!  She's really excited to be sporting a new uniform, too!  They had their first tournament this Saturday.  They were up against some tough teams and didn't win any games, but they had fun.

Mustache Day at School

Today is Mustache Day at School for Red Ribbon Week!

Paige is Student of the Month

Paige was nominated Student of the Month by her teacher. Way to go, Paige!

Gummy Bear Math

Today at school, Camden had "Gummy Bear Math", where parents came and helped their child count and sort gummy bears.  Then, they got to eat the gummy bears when they were all done.  They even had a little time to show us their new Learn pads that they recently got. 

Football is Underway

Football has started, and Cade's team has 2 games under their belt.  They beat both teams by a LOT! Hopefully their luck will continue throughout the season.

Camden Loves Country Gospel Music

Camden loves old country gospel music and has been listening to it all summer.  He searches for videos on google all the time! Pretty funny boy!

Chris is Teaching First Class

Chris is teaching his first IT class at NDSCS in addition to his full-time job there as the
 Intrastructure and Enterprise Systems Manager.  His plate is full!

Open house

Cade played in 3-on-3 Tourney

Cade had fun playing in a 3-on-3 tourney on Aug 1st.

Wilkin County Fair

We all attended the Wilkin County Fair this year and had a fun time. We saw the animals, went on rides, watched the talent show, and enjoyed the fair food.

Cade attended Camp Lebanon

Cade attended Camp Lebanon for the 2nd year in early August. He had another great experience there. Camp Lebanon is a religious camp in Minnesota about 2 hours away from us.

Happy 14th Birthday, Cade!

It's hard to believe that our oldest is 14 years old!  Crazy how time flies! Have a great birthday, Cade!!

Paige is a Guard in "Aladdin, Jr"

Paige has been busy the last week and a half practicing for the musical "Aladdin, Jr".  She is a guard in the play.  They performed yesterday at 4:00 and 7:00 and have a 7:30 performance tonight after they do some singing at the fair.  They all did such a great job!
