Swimming Lessons
Cade and Paige both passed their levels! Cade passed Level 3, and Paige passed Level 2. Here are comments from Paige's instructor: "Great job in swimming lessons, Paige! I'm so proud of how much you improved! You were so much fun to have in class. Thanks for always showing up with a smile. Keep swimming!" Here are comments from Cade's instructor: "You're an awesome swimmer! Keep up the good work!".
Camden Has Glasses
Camden now has glasses. Because Cade and Paige both have amblyopia (lazy eye), we got Camden checked early, and sure enough, the amblyopic gene found its way to him as well. The ophthalmologist that we see is amazed at the strong family history. We joke that some research could be done on our genes. I have a couple of cousins with it, and Chris has an uncle and cousin with it, so I guess that's strong enough. Because we caught all 3 kids so early, they don't have any tell tale signs of it such as crossed eyes. You'd actually never know they had it. The eye dr. said that most don't catch it until school-age, and many times by then, it's almost too late, and they could lose sight in 1 eye. Camden has done very well with his glasses and rarely takes them off. We have a strap on for the time being, but soon he won't need it. It's mainly for them to not get lost if he decides to take them off.

9 months
Wow....9 months! It's hard to believe the baby will be here in only 2 weeks. It has seemed like a long time; although I hear from many that they think the time has flown by. I am ready to be done being pregnant. Sleeping is getting difficult. I'm having to go to the bathroom constantly, and my hands and feet are swelling. I'll also be glad to be done with my insulin shots. I am dreading the sleep deprivation and know it will be even harder than it was when Camden was a newborn because I now have him running around as well as Cade and Paige. I met with my dr. on the 10th, and everything looked good. My blood pressure is normal, and the cerclage is holding as it should. My next appt. is on the 23rd. I'll have an ultrasound to check on how baby is doing (biophysical profile) and then will meet the last time with my doctor. The c-section is scheduled for July 30th at MeritCare Hospital.
