Brielle's First Days at Home

Cade's 9th Birthday Party

Cade is 9 years old! He had his birthday party this year on Thursday at Three Rivers Gymnastics in Wahpeton. All the kids had a fun time! Afterwards, we had supper at our house and Cade opened gifts from his grandparents and aunt Trisha. He is having his friend Lucas sleep over tonight. This is the first time he has had a friend sleep over, so he's pretty excited. It's hard to believe it's been 9 years since our little 2 lb. 2 oz. baby boy came into this world. Happy Birthday, Cade!

Brielle is 1 week old already

Brielle is now 1 week old. She is a very good baby, and she sleeps all the time. I have tried to wake her to feed her after 3 hours, but she's still so sleepy. I decided to let her let us know when she wants to be fed. She slept for over 5 hours last night. She's still so tiny that all of her newborn clothes are way too big for her.

We Welcome Brielle Grace Kelsen

Brielle Grace Kelsen was born on 7/30/09 at 11:50 am at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. She weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. and was 18 1/2 " long. We got home on Saturday (our choice) and have been doing pretty well. I am very sore and am in quite a bit of pain. The pain pills just don't seem to be doing it. I go tomorrow and get my staples out. I think I may request more/different pain pills. Brielle has been a very good baby. She sleeps a LOT and only cries when she's hungry. Camden has been jealous and needs some time to adapt to having a baby in the house.
