Good Morning!

Here's what we saw one morning when we went
into Camden's room to get him up.

Snow Update...18" of snow!!!

Well, we ended up with 18" inches of snow at
our house! Chris has been out snowblowing
for 1.5 hours and still isn't done! The kids have
been enjoying playing in the new snow.
This is hard work! Too high for the snowblower
We might as well have a snowball fight!

April snowfalls bring May flowers...hopefully!

Here's a picture of our driveway...
we were hit again with LOTS of snow in April! This is the 3rd time this month we've been hit by "Old Man Winter" even though it's spring! It's beginning to get difficult knowing how to dress the kids each day! It started snowing here around 1:00 and hasn't let up since. Sounds like we could get up to 12" of total snow accumulation! Will it ever end??

Happy Birthday, Grandpa John!

Loud Night!

What a loud night it was last night! Chris and I woke a few times in response to some loud thunder and rain. It seemed to shake the whole house. I was afraid the kids were going to wake, but they slept right through it....they must be deep sleepers! One co-worker of mine said she had a figurine sitting on her nightstand, and it fell off during the night, so her house must have shaken! I didn't see or hear of any damage caused from the storm last night. Breckenridge received 1/2" of rain.

Playdate

Today, we made a trip up to Moorhead for a
playdate with Janelle and her kids, Katherine,
Hannah, & Isaac, and also Nicole with her son, Elliot.
The kids had a great time playing with each other
and the moms had a great time catching up.
The 2 hours that we were there flew by.
We'll have to do it again soon!

Abracadabra!

Tonight we went to a magic show at Breckenridge
Elementary School sponsored by ECFE. The
magician was Jeffrey Salveson, and he
put on a great show. Cade was lucky to get
a balloon sculpture-he chose a hat.

Cade waiting his turn to get a balloon sculpture.
Cade's funky balloon hat!
The magician doing a trick with his rabbit, Sherman.
He made another rabbit appear in the
previously empty box!
Abracadabra...two rabbits!
He drew a picture of a face on
the board and when he walked,
the picture's eyes and mouth moved!

Congrats, Chris!

Chris was surprised today as he was awarded his
2nd Quality Service Award. It is given to a
select few who are nominated each month
for outstanding job performance. He was nominated
by the department that coordinated the "Go Red
for Women" event. Chris helped them with technical
and video support for the event. Keep up the good work!

Bathtime is so much fun!

Camden just loves taking a bath. He has two cups that he loves playing with in the tub. He reaches for them as soon as he gets in. He used to cry when we would get him out of the tub but now he seems to understand that it's time to be done, and the next bath will be just around the corner. Tonight, Camden had a surprise for us that was floating around in the water....ick!!

School Cancelled Today!

School was cancelled today because of all the snow
and icy roads! Cade and I are enjoying a day home.
Seems funny the kids were just outside playing on
the dry driveway and grass only a few days
ago. Here's a picture of our front yard and driveway.

Future Basketball Star

Cade has really been into basketball lately.
It's the first thing he wants to do when he gets
home from school. He said he can't wait to be in
basketball in 2nd grade. He recently learned how
to play "Pig" and wants to play it with anyone
who will play with him. He's even displaying the right
shooting form. Maybe he'll be our future basketball star??
