All I want for my birthday is my 2 front teeth...

Cade lost his 2nd tooth tonight! Daddy had to help him get it out because a part of it was still stuck in pretty good but the rest of it was out....it was kind of a funny shaped tooth. Being the speech pathologist that I am, I had him say a bunch of "th" words so he could see how difficult they are to say when you don't have your front teeth. I suppose the Tooth Fairy will be stopping by our house again!

Acadia

It's not an Apaigia or an Acamdenia, .....it's an Acadia! We bought a new vehicle on Tuesday. Chris said that we "outgrew" our Bonneville and needed to buy a new vehicle. He's had his eye on the Acadia since it first came out in 2007. Since we maxed out our GM card earnings and just started losing money on it, we decided it was time to start looking. We knew we wanted a factory DVD player as the one we bought from Target would constantly skip and start over once you'd hit a bump...making it pretty worthless. Most of the Acadias that have DVD players also have leather, moon roof, etc.-options that we weren't looking for, so it was hard to find one that fit what we were looking for. In the entire states of ND and MN, there were only 2 for us to choose from since they're "a hot item" according to the salesman. We decided on this one that we got in Fargo. On the picture, the color looks black, but it's actually a dark plum color. The name of the color is dark crimson metallic. It's a little darker than what we had in mind, but now we really like the color. We're going to sell our '93 Bonneville, so if you know anyone looking for a car, let them know.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

Cade and Paige each made Chris a card for Father's Day, and they gave him a Denver Broncos t-shirt.

For Father's Day, I made Chris one of his favorite pies-Peanut Butter Pie. Below is the recipe:
Peanut Butter Pie
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
8 oz. Cool Whip
graham cracker or Oreo crust
Beat cream cheese with peanut butter, sugar, vanilla, and milk. Fold in Cool Whip. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate for a few hours. Garnish with chocolate syrup and peanuts when serving.

Our 11th Anniversary

We had a nice annivesary yesterday. Grandma June came and babysat while we went to Fargo shopping and out to eat. We bought ourselves an under-the-cabinet radio/CD player for the kitchen for our anniversary gift to each other. We really enjoy it! Thanks for all the cards and gifts of money we received from everyone!

Camden's Kisses

Camden learned how to blow kisses. Isn't he so cute??

Double Rainbow

We've been having such strange weather lately. In the midst of the rain and sun last night, we saw a double rainbow over our neighborhood!

Cade FINALLY lost his 1st tooth!

Update: The tooth fairy did come to our house last night. She left a note along with two $2 bills and 2 packs of baseball cards w/gum. In her note, she said that she was leaving a little extra just this time because it was Cade's first tooth, and he waited so long to lose it. She also reminded him to be sure to brush everyday to keep his teeth healthy and strong. Cade was pretty happy with his loot!
Cade has been waiting and waiting to lose his first tooth, and it finally happened this morning. He came up and said that he felt a "rip" with his tooth. I told him to get a napkin and wiggle it back and forth. He did but said he couldn't get it out. I looked at it and knew it was ready to come out, so I told him to grab on tight and just yank it out, and he did it!! I bet that Tooth Fairy will be making a stop by our house tonight....lucky Cade!!

Playset Makeover

On Sunday, it was so nice that Chris spent the better part of the day staining our cedar playset. He's not quite finished with it and hasn't been able to finish it due to the rainy weather we've been having. After he finishes staining it, he'll put a watersealer on it. It looks so much better now with the stain on it. T-ball and soccer for Cade were supposed to start today, but they were cancelled due to the weather. He has been going to Community Bible School in the evenings and has been having a fun time.
