No Glasses for Brielle...at least not yet!

Brielle had her eye appt, and she still doesn't need glasses, so she'll be our 1st child without glasses at the age of 2!  She sure liked telling the dr. what pictures she saw.  We'll see what happens at the December appt....

Camden can finally ride bike!

Camden can finally ride bike without training wheels!  We thought the day would never come!  Yay, Camden!

Champs Picnic

Tonight we were invited to a Giants Major World Series Champs Picnic at the Optimist Shelter at Chahinkapa Park.  Since Cade's team won the Word Series, his coaches wanted to reward the team with a get-together.  We all had a good time!

Cade received a trophy and picture of his team from his coaches.

Camden's New Bedroom Set

Camden's room is looking a lot different lately.  He got a new (actually used from craigslist) bedroom set in excellent condition.  There is so much room for his clothes that there are actually empty drawers!  I'm sure they'll be filling up quickly, though.  When asked what he thinks of his bedroom set, Camden replies, "It's awesome"!

Pirate's Musical

Paige was busy last week practicing 6 hours a day for 3 days for the Pirate's Musical that was performed during the Wilkin County Fair.  She was a prisoner in the musical and didn't have very many lines, but she did a great job!  Grandma Cathy, Grandma June, and cousin Carol even came to see her perform.  Great job, Paige!

Paige is the first one on the left in the front row.

Camden ♥'s T-Ball

Camden loves t-ball!  Here he is hitting and then sliding into 1st base!

Lisbon Races

Last Sunday, Chris, Cade, Camden, and Grandpa John went to the Lisbon races.  It was kids' night, so Cade and Camden got to ride in some race cars, and they participated in the candy toss.

Brielle's Broken Arm

Brielle broke 2 bones in her arm after falling on some rocks while playing mini-golf.  She's doing ok with her cast.  It will be a challenge keeping it free from water for the next 4 weeks, though!  Her swimming days are over.  :(  It seems strange both our girls broke a bone at the age of 2, and neither of our boys have had any broken bones.

We had a wedding in Bismarck on June 29, so we decided to drive to Medora the next day and go to the musical. We only took Cade and Paige along. We had a good time in Medora, enjoying the pitchfork fondue, musical, painted canyon, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We saw a lot of prairie dogs, buffalo, and wild horses.

Cade's Team Wins World Series!!

Giants named Twin Town World Series champs

Young Breckenridge and Wahpeton baseball players met at Jefferson Park in Breckenridge July 2-3 to find out which team was best in the Twin Town World Series. When all was said and done, it was the Giants from the 11-12 -year-old Major League that won it all. In the 9-10-year-old Minor League, it was the Pirates that were named winners. Above, the Giants. Front row, from left, Bryce Schmit, Hunter Rittenour, Saje Fales, Riley Breuer, Nolan Wamre and Nathan Hensch. Back row, from left, coach Mike Rittenour, Christian Fales, Sephen Keaveny, Isaac Jordahl, Charlie Boldingh, Parker Keep, Nathan Phillips, Cade Kelsen and coach Scott Wamre. Bat Boy, Jack Rittenour.

**This was taken from the Wahpeton Daily News.  The championship game was a nailbiter, and Cade pitched the last inning, helping his team win the game by 1 point!  This ends Twin Town Baseball, but Cade is still in 2 different leagues, so he has a few more games left this summer.

Puppet Show at the Library

Last week, we went to the Shiffelly Puppet show that came to the Breckenridge Public Library.
Camden really liked the show, but Brielle was a bit scared.  Camden is in the camo shirt up front.

Here Brielle is covering her eyes during the puppet show.
