"3 Little Pigs Opera"

Camden's kindergarten class put on "The 3 Little Pigs Opera", but of course, Camden didn't participate during it.  :(   He said he didn't like people looking at him......  He was a frog in the play.

Franks for Fathers

Last Friday, Paige's class had "Franks for Fathers" where fathers come and have a hot dog lunch and make kites with their children.  Chris took 1/2 day off to go to the event.  The day finished with the school "Fun Run".

#3 and #4 Get the Stomach Flu

Well, I'm sorry to say victims #3 (Tanya) and #4 (Cade) came down with the stomach flu last night.  Tanya started feeling sick shortly after going to bed last night.  Cade came upstairs around midnight and said he felt sick.  Both stayed home in bed much of the day today.  Hopefully they will feel better in the morning.  Our hope is that Paige and Camden don't get this nasty stuff.

Chris Gets the Stomach Flu

Well, victim #2 with the stomach flu is Chris.  Hopefully the rest of us can escape it!

6th Grade Field Trip to Mpls

Cade's 6th grade class took their field trip to Mpls/St. Paul on Friday.  The 2 buses left at 5am sharp, but they ran into some trouble when one of the buses broke down near Fergus.  Then all 72 of them had to cram into 1 bus and head to the cities.  The school was sending another bus to the cities.  The kids first toured the Capitol, then the Science Museum, and finally the U of M.  They even got to play a football game on the field.  Cade's favorite part was the U of M.  He liked touring the locker room and field.  Chris went along to chaperone and had a good time.  He said the kids were pretty well-behaved.

Our 1st case of Stomach Flu in a LONG time

I thought we were going to be lucky enough to escape a case of the stomach flu this school year, but Brielle woke at 4:00am and vomited all over her bed.  :(   I got up, cleaned up her bed, threw her sheets & comforter in the wash, gave her a bath and put her back to bed.  She threw up a few more times within a short amount of time but then finally dozed off for awhile.  I got a little more sleep before I had to get up to get Paige and Camden up for school.  Chris and Cade had left for the MPLS trip...more to come on that.  So, I'm at home today with Brielle.  She just ate some Cheerios and seems to be able to keep them down, so hopefully this flu bug is shortlived and no ones else gets it!
She looks happy but is a little pale.

Grandpa John's Retirement Celebration

My dad finally retired after over 43 years at Bobcat.  We celebrated his retirement on Mother's Day, but our real "partying" will be the end of June in Wendover, NV as my parents, Chris, myself, my sister, and her boyfriend are flying for a few days to Wendover, NV for some fun. We gave him a customized plaque that I had made by the BHS laser tech class.  It turned out really well!  Best wishes for a happy retirement!

Chris' 38th Birthday

We celebrated Chris' 38th birthday on Mother's Day.  Here he is opening some gifts.
Our big gift to him was a new grill!

Mother's Day

I had a nice Mother's Day with both my mom and mother-in-law coming for a day of celebration.  We celebrated Mother's Day, Chris' birthday, and my dad's retirement.  I got a lot of homemade gifts from the kids, and I got a new Nook Simple Touch, which I really love!

Vehicle Display

Last night at the Breckenridge High School parking lot, they had set up a lot of different vehicles for the kids to explore.  They had a cop car, firetruck, ambulance, school bus, street sweeper, combine, tractor, dump truck, semi, and much more.  The kids were in heaven!  Camden loved operating the police car's siren, and he had a LOT of questions for the "cop"...Why do you wear a badge, Why is your belt buckle shiny, Why do you have a gun, Where do you put the bad guys, etc. etc....
