We had to share today's exciting news about Cade's basketball game. Cade made a 3 point buzzer beater to tie the game!! The look on everyones' faces was priceless...it actually went in!! He had a great game and finished with 5 points. He was the hero of the game! The game remained tied because there was not any time to play overtime as the next teams were ready to play. Cade was excited to get to open gym this afternoon to practice those 3 point skills! He came over to us after the game and said, "See, I told you I could shoot 3 pointers!" Of course it had to happen on the day we decided not to videotape. We're hoping one of the other parents got it on video...it would definitely be a hit on youtube!Saturday, January 29, 2011

Basketball Starts Again
Basketball has started up once again. Cade had his first game against Wahpeton last night. There are 18 boys out for basketball, so they don't get a whole lot of playing time. We're hoping they'll make two teams so they all get more playing time. They all had a good time even though they lost by 3 points. It was neat to see the improvement from last year.

It's "Crunch" Time!
Cade, Paige, and Chris went to the NDSCS basketball game to see "Crunch", the Minnesota Timberwolves mascot. They had a good time watching him perform during halftime.

Cade is "Student of the Month"
Cade was awarded "Student of the Month" for the month of December by his classroom teacher, Mrs. Kramer. Congratulations, Cade!!

We have a HUGE snowhill in front of our house. Here Cade and Camden are outside playing on it. Camden loves to use the shovel outside, Cade loves to dig tunnels and snowforts, and Paige loves to sled.

Welcome back, Chris!
Chris was in Vegas from Wednesday until Saturday morning attending the huge consumer electronics show there. He went with his boss and had a great time. My mom came and stayed and helped out with the kids for a few days. He said that there were so many people there it was unbelievable.

New Year's Blizzard
We've been stuck at home with the 2 blizzards that hit us. Luckily, we didn't lose electricity. We spent time cleaning, playing games, and watching movies. Chris spent many hours out snowblowing. Today, I ended up going to the emergency room with horrible pain on my right side. They thought it may be my appendix, but luckily it turned out to be a bowel problem probably caused from eating too many nuts lately. I was given a liquid laxative that will hopefully take care of the problem. I was thankful that I didn't need surgery and could go home. Happy New Year to everyone!
