Camden's Strange Sleeping Position

Camden has a very strange sleeping position as you can see below. Many times when we lay him down, he rolls over and goes right into this position. I'm surprised he's not stiff and sore in the morning!

Separation Anxiety

Camden is very much a "Mommy's boy" and has been exhibiting some separation anxiety lately, especially when being dropped off at daycare. Every morning, he cries when being dropped off at daycare. His teachers say that he quickly stops crying after we leave, so that makes us feel a little better. We're hoping soon that he'll get used to daycare and will be excited to go each morning. When he was younger, he would go to anyone, but now he doesn't like being held by strangers.
UPDATE: Yay...for the last 2 days, Camden hasn't cried when being dropped off at daycare. Hopefully we're over that stage!

Back in the comfort of Mommy's arms.

Uppercase Living

I recently went to an Uppercase Living party. I wasn't sure what to get, so I settled on this one to go above our wedding picture that is above our bed. I think it turned out pretty well.

Camden Reading and Steps

One of Camden's favorite pasttimes is 'reading' books.
He loves flipping through the pages and can sit
for quite a long time with his books. Here we
caught him in the act enjoying his new book
from Grandpa & Grandma.
Camden mastered going up and down steps about a
month ago, so it's so nice not having to use our
gate anymore. It was always such a hassle.

1st Day of School

Today was the first day of school for Cade and Paige. Paige was only in school for about an hour. She got a tour of the school, and the parents had time to visit with her teacher. She was a little bummed that it didn't last very long. She didn't understand why she couldn't eat lunch in school. We told her that tomorrow she'll get a FULL day of school. Paige's kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Johnson, and Cade's 2nd grade teacher is Mrs. Speidel. Both of their classes have 22 students in them, and both have almost double the boys than girls.

A Hard Lesson Learned

Well, today on this Labor Day, while Chris was out tending to the garden and I was inside trying to finish a number of projects, Cade was over at his neighbor friend, Luke's house. Paige had been over there with them, and she came over saying that Cade and Luke were trapped in their garage. We told her they couldn't be trapped in the garage because there were numerous ways out, etc. Finally after some prodding, she said that they were in the "little garage" (meaning their yard shed). We told her to run over and tell Luke's dad so he could open the door (thinking maybe the door was jammed or something). It turns out that they had gone into the shed because Luke told Cade that he had a clubhouse in there. We're not quite sure how they got locked in the shed, but Luke decided that since they were locked in the shed, the best thing to do would be to break the window with a bat! Yep, you heard right. So, that is what Luke did. Paige listened to us and went and told Luke's dad to get them out of the shed, and when he saw the broken window, he wasn't too pleased to say the least. Cade came home with blood on his shirt and a little cut on his hand. It could have been much worse. We're hoping there won't be too many more of these incidents in the future!!
