We're Expecting!
Yes, it's true...we're expecting another baby. The due date is Aug. 11. I'm feeling very tired and nauseous on and off throughout the day at times. I had an ultrasound at 6.5 weeks and saw a heartbeat. Pray for another full-term baby!

Our Lucky Night
Chris and I had a busy weekend with his work Christmas party on Friday night, then the Circle of Nations Christmas party on Saturday night, and then the kids' Sunday School Christmas program on Sunday. Finally it's time to rest....or not?? Anyway, at the Circle of Nations Christmas party, Chris and I were lucky winners. Chris first of all won $104 playing Bingo. Next, my ticket was drawn for a really cool purse, flat wallet, crystal manicure file, and snowflake purse hanger set...which was worth $80! Then after that, my name was drawn for a Philips 6 megapixel webcam worth $60! Plus, the prime rib and ham dinner was excellent! So, we had a pretty lucky night! We were thinking that we should have stopped and bought a lottery ticket on our way home! :)

Digging Out after the Blizzard!
We're not sure exactly how many inches of snow we got, but it was a LOT! There's no school today, so we're staying warm inside. We won't be going out in this -15 degree weather! Chris went to work at noon today. He got 1/2 the driveway cleared out. I heard there could be more snow on the way...let's hope not!

School Christmas Concert
Cade and Paige had their school Christmas concert tonight. They both did a great job singing. Grandpa John, Grandma June, and Grandma Cathy all came to watch.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Even though we're not wishing for snow, it doesn't quite look right without it...especially for our outside reindeer. If you look closely, you can see that there's one bulb burned out above the garage. Chris has been anxious to get back on the roof to replace it. We put extra lights on our Christmas tree this year, which we like better.

Bite Victim
Poor Camden was bitten today at daycare. He was playing with a toy that another child wanted, so that child bit Camden on the back. They wrote up an incident report that we got. The bite mark luckily didn't break the skin. They said they gave him ice and TLC. He seemed his usual self tonight, so that was good. We feel so bad that he was bitten today....poor baby!

A Game of Joker
Grandma Cathy came to visit today. The kids wanted to show her how to play the game "Joker" that was made for us by Great Grandpa Storhoff. We've had the game for quite a few years but just recently showed the kids how to play. They caught on quickly and have been enjoying playing it. Hope you liked the game Grandma because I'm sure you'll be asked to play again sometime!

Poor Paige
Paige stayed home today as she was running a fever and not feeling well at all. She was showing symptoms of a urinary tract infection, so because I had 3 meetings today, Chris took her to the doctor. Her urine sample showed what we suspected, a urinary tract infection. She's on antibiotics 3x a day for 7 days. She HATES taking any kind of medicine, so this will NOT be fun the next week. Chris took the whole day off to stay home with her. She took a good nap today but was still running a fever tonight. Hopefully she can go to school tomorrow. She hasn't eaten much at all. Today she had some Cheerios and that was about it. She also threw up twice so hopefully she won't get dehydrated. Chris has had 2 days off in a row this week as he had off for Veteran's Day.

Congrats, Rock Obama!
Have you heard the news: "Rock Obama" will be our new President (according to Cade & Paige)! We got a hoot out of their pronunciations of Barack Obama!

Happy Halloween!
The kids had a good Halloween. Camden stayed back with Mommy and helped hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters. He really enjoyed watching all the kids come to the door. Cade and Paige enjoyed going trick-or-treating around the neighorhood. They came back with plenty of candy. Grandma Cathy came and enjoyed taking them trick-or-treating. We only had around 150 trick-or-treaters this year. Normally, we have around 250. Our high school football team was playing an important game out of town, so we're pretty sure that's why we didn't have the numbers that we usually have (Our team won, so we're on to State....Go Cowboys!). We have enough candy at our house to last a LONG time!
Happy Halloween!

Minneapolis Mini Vacation
Since we didn't have school on Thursday or Friday due to MEA, we decided to take Cade and Paige to Minneapolis since they've never been there before. We did a lot in the 2 days that we were there! We first went to IKEA where Cade and Paige enjoyed playing in the supervised childcare facility for 1 hour while Chris and I shopped. They especially enjoyed the ball pit. I was excited about my extra long willow branches purchase. After shopping at IKEA, we went to the Mall of America. Once there, we went straight to Nickelodeon Universe. The kids really enjoyed going on rides. Cade has outgrown the "little kid rides" and is on to bigger and better rides. He begged to go on the 2 wildest rides, but we wouldn't let him. We did let him go on 2 rides that Chris and I would have never have gone on after he begged and pleaded that were pretty wild. He never got scared or queasy one bit (we're not sure where he gets his ride ability from as Chris and I both get sick on rides). After we were done at Nickelodeon Universe and we had a bite to eat, we went to Underwater World. We all really enjoyed all the sea animals swimming all around us. The kids and Chris even got to pet a stingray! We were pretty tired afterwards, so we decided to check into our hotel and swim a little before bedtime. The kids were sound asleep soon after their heads hit their pillows. The next morning, we headed to the Children's Museum and spent a few hours there. The kids loved it there. After that, we did a little shopping before heading home. We all had a good time on our mini vacation.

Separation Anxiety
Camden is very much a "Mommy's boy" and has been exhibiting some separation anxiety lately, especially when being dropped off at daycare. Every morning, he cries when being dropped off at daycare. His teachers say that he quickly stops crying after we leave, so that makes us feel a little better. We're hoping soon that he'll get used to daycare and will be excited to go each morning. When he was younger, he would go to anyone, but now he doesn't like being held by strangers.
UPDATE: Yay...for the last 2 days, Camden hasn't cried when being dropped off at daycare. Hopefully we're over that stage!
